Confirmation:
You book your trip online and you will receive the final booking confirmation by e-mail. Within 14 days after receiving the booking confirmation you pay 50 percent of the travel sum. The remaining amount must be paid no later than 30 days before the start of the trip. If the first payment term is exceeded, we are entitled to cancel the booking. Cancellations:
- Domestic courses: Up to 2 months before the start date you owe 25 percent of the travel sum. Up to 1 month before the start date you owe 50 percent of the travel sum. Within 1 month to 1 week before the start date, you owe 75 percent of the travel sum. You must pay the entire travel sum within 1 week before the start date.
- Abroad/ Foreign Training and Exploration: Up to 2 months before the start date, you owe 50 percent of the travel sum. Up to 1 month before the start date you owe 75 percent of the travel sum. You will owe the entire travel sum within 1 month before the start date. In certain cases, a trip can be made up for.
- If your booking is changed or canceled after the confirmation has been sent, an additional 35 euros in administration or cancellation costs will be charged.

Catching up a trip after cancellation is possible.
Provided that you have paid the full travel sum and if you arrange the catch-up trip in consultation with us. That usually works out on a journey where a place is left or from which we expect this. So you cannot just pick out a new trip, but that is in consultation. If the new trip is more expensive, you pay a little extra. However, there is no partial payment if the price is different. You can reserve this amount for a follow-up in consultation. We record this appointment by e-mail.

Cancellation insurance:
We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance yourself, for example a comprehensive cancellation insurance policy offered by different authorities. In the event of cancellation, the payment obligation to De Zeezeilers van Marken will continue to exist. You immediately inform De Zeezeilers van Marken and the insurance company of the cancellation. The cancellation must have a well-founded reason for an insurance policy. The provision offers no or no good coverage if you do not meet the above obligation and if the need for cancellation could reasonably be expected when applying for cancellation coverage.

You declare that you have taken out good insurance for legal liability when booking.

Winter trips in the period December 1 - March 16:
Of course, these trips can only continue if you can sail safely and instructively. That means that a trip through De Zeezeilers can be canceled. We try to do this at least 24 hours in advance, based on official weather forecasts. The travel sum is then refunded immediately. Considerations for canceling a trip are: 1) the temperature during the day is below -1º Celcius for a long time, 2) there is ice on the water. 3) the wind forecast is more than 7Bf (longer than 50% of the reserved time). If the trip has to be stopped due to weather conditions, the part of the travel sum will be refunded. The skipper always stops the trip in consultation with the office. That decision can also be taken just before the journey.

If, due to (weather) conditions, the ship cannot return to the embarkation point or departure point in time?
We will do everything in our power to get you on board at the agreed time and at the departure or departure point. This can be delayed. No refund or additional travel costs will be reimbursed by De Zeezeilers if a different means of transport is chosen than the ship you are sailing on. At distances greater than 600 zm, such as mile makers or a crossing, the arrival date is a point to take into account. There are many obstacles, of which the weather and current are the biggest. Tips: Always take this into account from the first day of departure. Take the favorable weather if you can! The space comes at the end. Take one or two extra days extra before you fly or a flexible ticket. For travel abroad it is useful to share flight information as quickly as possible on the "Forum" during your trip.

Complaints
In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied. Then first inform your instructor or employee immediately and preferably in advance. This will if possible, usually through the office, solve the problem. If the problem is not solved you can always contact the office at the end of the trip. This is the shortest blow and we will certainly think along with you and look for a good solution. If it is not yet possible to clarify the problem at this stage, we recommend that you write this down on paper and send it to the management. If you are dissatisfied with this result, you can of course forward the complaint to the CWO or other organization.
